Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examinations is co-conducted by Singapore Ministry of Education and Cambridge University. It is the examination for students who have completed secondary school education, conducted once a year and recognized by all commonwealth nations, results obtained can be used to apply for Junior College, Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education, or pre-university education institutions of other commonwealth nations.
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination is an annual national examination that is taken by school and private candidates, in Singapore.
The GCE A-Level examination is offered annually to:
Students from junior colleges or centralised institutes who are taking A-Level courses.
Private candidates who have met the eligibility criteria to register for the GCE A-Level examination.
The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, MOE, and the University of Cambridge International Examinations, are the joint examining authorities for the GCE A-Level examination.
